3-Week Training Program

Our extensive and comprehensive training program offered to our franchisees allows you to learn our policies and procedures. Upon completion of the training program you will be well equipped to operate and gain creditability in your area. We train you and allow you to get right into your Gelato Bar to experience the feeling of operating your business.

Opening Team

Your team at Mad Italian will assist you in your opening. This team is comprised of a group of high energy, dedicated, knowledgeable managers and staff. They will lead and guide you through the opportunities that can arise during a restaurant opening.


We continually are moving our concept forward with our interior restaurant décor and our menu with our Zazzu Hot Cones . We will continue to grow our customer base, our sales volume and the number of Gelato Bars together as a team.

Adaptable Site Requirements

The Mad Italian Gelato Bar Brand does not rely on a typical box to succeed. We are flexible on where we can be located and are looking for different types of sites, including prototype buildings, conversions/retro-fits, strip center end-cap locations, and non-traditional sites.

Superior Quality

The extensive and well balanced menu of European coffees, specialty beverages, exotic desserts, and our families’ Gelato. The recipes for the Gelato are a family secret perfected over 30 years by the founder.


The Mad Italian Gelato Bars rely primarily on a local marketing program that gives each store the marketing programs and promotions that match the needs of the individual store’s market. Advertising and promotional materials are available at a reasonable cost to Franchisees. The Mad Italian was involved in The Little Italy festival and participates in the Baking and Sweets show.


The purchasing department of The Mad Italian negotiates services and price agreements with approved suppliers and distributors.

Zazzu Cones

Zazzu Cones: In October 2011 The Mad Italian has launched our new concept, Zazzu Cones, that is included in your purchase of our franchise concept.
